FAQs

  • What are the benefits of virtual therapy?

Virtual therapy is a safe alternative for people with busy and modern lifestyles who otherwise may not have accessibility to quality mental health care. From the comfort of your home, you can join sessions on my secure Telehealth platform.

  • How long are the sessions?

Sessions are 50 minutes every week unless otherwise discussed. Some people may request longer sessions at a pro-rated rate.

  • Do you take insurance?

Do you take insurance? I am an out-of-network provider meaning I do not accept insurance directly. However, I provide a superbill to clients who have out-of-network insurance coverage to secure reimbursement. I encourage you to contact your insurance company directly to assess the cost before beginning treatment. Here are some questions to ask them:

    • Does my plan offer any out-of-network benefits for mental health?

    • Do I have a deductible? If yes, how much of it has already been met?

    • Are there any limitations on the number of sessions my plan covers for mental health?

    • How much will I be reimbursed per visit when I see an out-of-network mental health provider?

    • Do I need prior approval or a referral in order to receive reimbursement for out-of-network mental health care?

  • Is therapy right for me?

We all have different reasons for seeking out therapy. Some may be looking for support during a transition or others focusing on childhood trauma. There is no right or wrong reason and I believe therapy is for everyone. Working with a therapist can help provide you with greater awareness, more ease, and strategies to deal with challenges that may enter your life.
